Only four years later did Hopalong Cassidy ride up and save him. Boyd made more than 50 Cassidy films with Sherman, and another dozen on his own between 1943 and 1946. His acquisition of the Cassidy film library was complete by 1948, when he joined the Whites in the radio venture.”
