But ultimately, our calling is to bring glory to God and to let Him perfect us into the image bearers He always meant us to be. I think sometimes we can bring much more glory to God by being cheerful and delighting in the world and people He has given us than by living a “useful” life where we trot grimly around with a martyr complex that annoys everyone we encounter.”
