“When a child says, “Mr. Roberson, how do you spell this word? What does that word mean?” I’ll look tortured. “Oh,” I’ll exclaim, hand to forehead, “If only someone would invent a book of words! A book with all the words. Then I could have a whole bunch of them in the room over by those giant red books. Hey, wait a minute... ” It is so much more fun than telling the child to get a dictionary. They remember it better too.”
