“There was a knock on her bedroom door. “Kat?” Meghan said. “Are you in there?” Kat grabbed a pillow and covered her ears with it. She didn’t want to talk to Meghan. She didn’t want to talk to anyone. Meghan knocked again, harder this time. “Kat? If you’re in there, I’m coming in.” Kat stifled a groan and pulled the covers up over her head, burying herself deeper into the bed. Maybe if she tried hard enough, she could fool her roommate into thinking she was a pile of blankets.”
